students

  • If you are not an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and you are planning to study one of our courses - either on an ACo campus, off-campus or as a study abroad or exchange student, you are considered an international student.

Off-Campus

  • We offer a wide range of courses which are available for study off-campus. Prospective international students not planning to study on an international student visa can  apply for our courses offered for study off-campus.

  • Studying a course off-campus will enable you to study the course without ever having to come to Australia.

  • This is an option for students, who for reasons such as distance, home responsibilities, work commitments or disability would prefer not to relocate to study.

How does it work?

  • Off-campus study is a mode of delivery which is predominately delivered online via our learning management system and is supported by supplementary material that is provided to you as well as Lecture attendance in your own country where available.

  • Materials we will provide include online class attendance, pre-recorded lectures that are downloadable, to you - including print-based materials, online web access and CD ROMs/DVD's.

Textbooks

  • You can purchase textbooks directly through your local book supplier or  through the ACo Bookshop online.

Library Access
  • The ACo Library will provide access to  a wide range of resources for off-campus students. You can conduct research through databases and our catalogues.

PC & The Internet
  • Due to the innovative course delivery options we provide it does mean that you will need access to a PC with an Internet connection and a CD/DVD ROM drive, in order to study off-campus.

Examinations
  • If you live more than 100 kilometres from an ACo campus, we will generally be able to arrange a local examination centre. Alternatively, you may be asked to nominate a centre from our partners.

Student support
  • As an off-campus student, living close to an ACo campus, you will be able to gain access our on campus student facilities and learning support services.
